This 8-week live course takes families on an engaging and spiritually nourishing journey through the story of Nabi Musa (alayhi salam) and the Bani Israel. With guidance from Qur’anic verses, authentic hadith, tafsir, and archaeological insights, participants will uncover the timeless lessons of courage, justice, and trust in Allah embedded in this foundational narrative.

Children and adults alike will narrate, reflect, and write about key moments—building confidence in their storytelling and their understanding of divine wisdom. Each week includes lively discussion, creative writing prompts, and a Quran-focused lens on history, language, and character development.

Course Content

Topic 1: Week 1 – Firaun and His Amazing City
Students begin to see through the glitter of Firaun’s empire and recognize Allah’s justice over tyranny, building awareness of their own responsibility to stand with the truth.

  • Map study Delta, Sinai Peninsula, Mediterranean, Upper and Lower Egypt

  • Homework Writing Prompt: What was the origin of the Bani Israel and how did they get that name?

Week 2 – Firaun’s edict, Musa’s birth and ending up in the palace. Allah’s care and concern for Umm Musa
Students discover how Allah’s care and wisdom protect the weak, learning to trust in His plan even in times of fear and uncertainty.

Week 3 – Unintentional murder, flight to Madayan, dua, marriage, return to Egypt, Divine Encounter with Allah
Students witness how hardship leads to guidance, inspiring them to turn to Allah in prayer and seek courage in His presence.

Week 4 – Delivering Allah’s message to Firaun, Competition, Firaun’s rage
Students learn how to stand firm in the face of opposition, gaining confidence to speak the truth with conviction and humility.

Week 5 – More signs
Students reflect on Allah’s mighty signs, strengthening their certainty that arrogance leads to downfall and faith leads to safety.

Week 6 – The Departure and the Crossing
Students experience the drama of the sea parting, deepening their tawakkul and belief that Allah delivers His servants from every hardship.

Week 7 – Things we know today
Students connect ancient lessons to modern life, understanding that the story of Musa is a timeless guide for trust, justice, and resilience.

Week 8 – Sharing Student Narrations and Writings
Students celebrate their growth by sharing their stories and reflections, reinforcing their love of faith, history, and expression.
