About Course
A hands-on course for Muslim educators ready to create spiritually grounded, pedagogically sound learning experiences.
This Fall 2025 course starts in September.
This course is designed to empower Muslim educators to design curriculum that is spiritually grounded, intellectually rigorous, and contextually relevant. Drawing on both classical Islamic concepts (ta’lim, tarbiyah, tazkiyah) and contemporary curriculum design frameworks (like Backward Design and Understanding by Design), participants will learn to craft learning experiences that honor the learner’s fitrah, align with the higher aims (maqasid) of Islamic education, and respond to the real needs of their communities.
Whether you’re working in a classroom, homeschooling, or creating community programs, this course will help you build curriculum as a form of khidmah (service) and amanah (trust).
Format
- Live sessions (via Zoom) with examples, discussions, and guided work time
